Gardaí are investigating a failed robbery attempt on a Post Office in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin over night.
The suspects entered the home of an An Post worker, she was then taken to the Post Office in the morning while another man that was in the house at the time was taken to another location in a hostage situation.
The robbery failed after Gardaí were alerted to the situation and responded to the Post Office, no money was taken and the two victims where released unharmed.
Gardaí are investigating claims of suspicious activity over the past two weeks.
