Gardaí are today appealing for information on a priest who is wanted for questioning in relation to allegations of sex abuse.
Up to 18 people have made allegations against the priest and it is believed two men have committed suicide because of the abuse allegations.
Fr Peter Kennedy,72, fled to Brazil on a British Passport and was deported back to Britain 10 days ago and is due before City of Westminster’s Magistrates Court today.
If he is extradited back to Ireland,gardaí will be immediately bringing charges against him.
In a previous charge brought against him in 2003, one of his victims received a payout of €320,000 which was the largest ever payout for an Irish clerical sex abuse case.
