An armed robbery has taken place today on a cash in transit van at Donaghmede Shopping Centre.
The robbery occured at 10:15 am this morning when two men wearing balaclavas approached the the cash in transit employees.
The men were believed to be in possession of a firearm.
The two men fled the scene in what is believed to be a black 07-C 4×4 vehicle and drove in the direction of Clare Hall in Coolock.
Witnesses or anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in or around the Shopping Centre prior to the robbery is asked to contact gardaí in Coolock on 01-6664200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
