Gardaí at Castlerea in County Roscommon are investigating two fatal shooting incidents that took place between 9.30 pm and midnight last night.
At midnight, a 44-year-old man was found dead in a silver Volkswagen Passat car at Cloonfad, County Roscommon. Shortly after 1.30 am, a 30-year-old female was found dead in a silver Volkswagen Passat car at Springvale, Cloonfad, a short distance away.
Both scenes have been preserved.
