Gardaí at Dundalk are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 20-year-old Gavin Sheelan of Annaloughan, Louth.
Sheehan was last seen at his home at 8am on the morning of last Tuesday, January 3 and has not been seen since.
He is described as being 5’11” in height, of thin build, with brown hair and blue eyes.
When last seen he was wearing a black jacket, woollen hat, blue jeans and runners.
A 25-year-old is due to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court this morning in connection with the attempted robbery of an An Post branch in Arklow.
Gardaí have released information that Monica Riordan, missing since December 20, is now known to have walked along Macken Street from the railway bridge to the junction with Pearse Street.
Gardaí say she seems disorientated and confused.
The Army has made safe a viable explosive device today in Kilcronan Avenue, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
The request was made for the bomb disposal team to attend at 2pm by the local Gardaí.
The device was found outside the building. The Bomb Disposal team made the device safe by carrying out a controlled explosion at around 3:15pm.
The device has been removed to be sent for further technical examination.
Danny O’Neill wexford teen that went missing on the 28th December has been located.

Gardaí at Fitzgibbon Street Garda Station are investigating a serious assault that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. last night, Friday 13th May, 2011 on the Lower Drumcondra Road.
A 16 year old youth sustained serious injuries and was removed to the Mater Hospital.
The scene is currently preserved.

Gardaí at Naas investigating a burglary are seeking assistance from the public.
A burglary took place at a premises in Naas in the early hours of Thursday, 5th May 2011. During the course of this burglary 12 boxes of sirloin steak and 34 boxes of fillet steak were stolen – they were in vacuum pack form.
The meat has a sale value of €20,000.

Gardaí at Rathfarnham investigating a bank robbery at the Rathfarnham Shopping Centre yesterday (3/5/11) have arrested two men in the Dublin 8 area this morning (4/5/11).
At approximately 12 noon yesterday (3/4/11) a lone gunman entered the Bank branch and demanded money from the cashier. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was observed getting into a small blue car which was located a short time later. No shots were fired and no persons injured.
In a follow-up operation this morning two men were arrested ( mid 30’s/ early 40’s) in connection with this incident. They are both being detained at Rathfarnham Garda Station under Section 30 Offences the State Act 1939.

At approximately 5.45am this morning, 1/5/11, 6 men were seen using a digger to remove an ATM machine from the wall outside the Bank of Ireland in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow.
Vehicles used in this theft are a black Mitsubishi Pajero registration 03 CN 712 stolen overnight in Tullow Co. Carlow, a silver Toyota Landcruiser 06kk946 stolen overnight from Castledermot Co. Carlow, a tractor & trailor unit (90 WX 4156) stolen overnight from Clonegal, Co. Wexford and a digger described as a Koulco, Longarmed digger.
All these vehicles were left at the scene and the offenders left in a dark coloured car â€“ no better description. It was driven towards the Aughrim Road. It is believed that they had at least 1 firearm.
We are unaware of the amount of cash taken at this time.
No-one was injured during the incident.
