A 30-year-old Limerick man has been convicted of attempted murder for shooting a teenager in the head and chest two years ago.
Shane Mason of Seán Heuston Place will be sentenced on July 30 for the attack at St John’s Square on May 24, 2010.
The victim Daniel Philips, who is now 20,spent over a month in a coma after he was shot several times while driving through the square.
Mason has also been found guilty of serious harm to the then teenager and of possessing a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger his life.
