Gardaí believe the Polish man who died in Offaly yesterday as a result of stab wounds may have taken his own life.
It is believed Grezegorz Guzik, 30, attacked another man in a rented house in 128 Kilbridge Street yesterday morning, resulting in Guzik committing suicide.
It is understood the two men were known to each other.
The other man suffered minor injuries.
The forensic examination at the scene of the fatal stabbing is expected to conclude today.
There were four people in the house at the time; the two men, Guzik’s wife, Ewa, and her three -year-old son.
