**Witness Appeal Following Fatal Collision in Kilgarvan**

Gardaí are urgently seeking witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision on the R569 road at Church Grounds, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, 10th June 2025, shortly after 1:40 pm, involving a vehicle and a cyclist.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but sadly, the cyclist, a male in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination will be conducted as the Coroner has been notified.
Currently, the road is closed for a technical examination, and traffic is being diverted. Drivers heading to and from Kenmare must use the N71 via Killarney and Moll’s Gap, which is unsuitable for heavy vehicles.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area between 1 pm and 2 pm to assist in their investigation by providing this footage.
