A young Dublin boy had bullets in his underpants
A young dublin boy has been sentenced in the Dublin Children’s Court to drug dealing and firearms offences for having heroin and bullets in his underpants. He received a 10 month suspended sentence after guilty pleas to the offence dealing drugs and other offences including possessing a knife.
The 16 year old was stopped and arrested in January for dealing drugs and a public order offence when he was swinging a plastic pipe at pedestrians on Thomas Street in Dublin.
At the garda station where he was searched, three Remmington make, 22-calibre Winchester Magnum bullets were also found on him. Drugs seized from the teenager on the day was valued at about €1,000.
The boys solicitor stated: that he had to leave his home and mothers care as “he has fallen foul of certain persons in his locality”. and “It was felt that his continued presence at his address would be to his detriment,”
Judge Ann Ryan noted that these were his first offences to which he had pleaded guilty and this was reflected on the suspended sentence.
