ARREST UPDATE – Murder of Mikolaj Wilk in Ballincollig, Co. Cork
Gardaí investigating the murder or Mikolaj Wilk in Ballingcollig Co. Cork on 10th June 2018 have arrested 3 men and carried out a number of searches this morning 22nd January 2019. The searches were carried out in the Ballincollig area.
The three men in their 30s are detained at Gurranabraher and Bridewell Garda Stations under the provisions of Section 50 – Criminal Justice Act 2017.
Gardaí in Gurranabraher, Co. Cork are investigating a serious assault on a male at his house in Ballincollig, Co. Cork on the 10th June 2018.
It is believed that shortly after 3am a number of men with weapons went into the injured party’s house and seriously assaulted the injured male and his partner. The assailants then left the house. The injured parties were taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. The male’s injuries are very serious, his partner’s, a female in her 30’s, injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
There was another adult female (early 30’s) and two children under 6 years in the house at the time of the incident and they were uninjured.
The house is currently preserved for a technical examination, a car was found burnt out a number of KM away in Waterfall and this scene is also being preserved for a technical examination.
