Dublin man on trial for murder
A jury has today been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Dublin man accused of murdering another man in Ballyfermot almost five years ago.
Martin Toland, 36, of Walkinstown Park, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Alan Nolan, 28, at Cedar Brook Walk on September 8, 2007.
Toland has also pleaded not guilty to recklessly or intentionally causing serious harm to James Carroll, 30, on the same date.
A jury of seven women and five men was today sworn in before Mr Justice Paul Carney.
The trial is set to begin on Friday before Mr Justice Barry White and is expected to last up to three weeks.
