Gardaí appeal for information on with murder of Siobhán Stapleton
Gardaí in Thomastown, Kilkenny are appealing for the assistance of the public in the investigation into the murder of 51-year-old housewife, Siobhán Stapleton.
Stapleton was found with serious head injuries on May 25, in the farmyard of her home in Kilfane, Thomastown, Kilkenny.
She was rushed to hospital in Kilkenny city some 11 miles away, but was pronounced dead before being transferred to Beaumont Hospital Dublin.
They are particularly anxious to speak to anyone who travelled on the road between Thomastown and Gowran on Friday, May 25 between 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to contact them.
Gardaí have set up an incident room in Thomastown Garda Station and have said that they are following a definite line of inquiry.
