Man dies after overdosing at Phoenix Park concert and seven stabbed
The Journal.ie is reporting that a man died of drugs overdose at the Swedish House Mafia concert held in Dublin’s Phoenix Park last night.
Two other males died later in the night from overdoses but it is not known whether or not they had attended the concert in the Phoenix Park..
Gardaí confirmed that one of the men sought medical assistance around 7 pm yesterday before the concert started.
He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
As yet, the man has not been identified and Gardaí have asked that family and friends check that their loved ones have arrived home safely.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man was arrested following separate stabbing incidents at the concert last night.
He remains in a ‘serious but stable’ condition in Connolly Hospital today.
He is believed to have been stabbed up to four times.
He is one of seven men, all aged in their late teen or 20s, to have suffered stab wounds at the Swedish House Mafia concert.
Over 45,000 fans attended yesterday’s concert in the Phoenix Park, which featured acts such as Snoop Dog, Tinie Tempah and Swedish House Mafia.
Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to any of the incidents to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000 or any Garda Station.
