This Wednesday morning, 24th April 2024, Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of a tragic collision at Toureenfineen, Co. Cork, involving a motorcycle and a truck.
The accident happened just before 8 AM, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist, a man in his 40s. There have been no reports of other injuries.
Following the incident, the deceased’s body is set to be transported to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Currently, the road where the accident occurred is closed, with local traffic diversions implemented.
Forensic Collision Investigators from the Garda are on-site, conducting a thorough examination. Gardaí are calling on anyone who witnessed the crash or those who have relevant camera footage, including dash-cam recordings from around the time of the collision, to come forward.
