Witness Appeal for M1 Retail Park Shooting in Drogheda 26/02/19

At approximately 3.15 p.m, Tuesday 26th February 2019 Gardaí responded to a shooting incident in the car park of The M1 Retail Park, Mell, Drogheda, Co. Louth. A male was injured having been shot whilst sitting in the passenger seat of a white Vauxhall Astra, (12 LH registration).

The suspects in this incident are believed to have left the scene in a black Volkswagen Passat 132 D 18498, which was later found burnt out at the car park at Seapoint, Co. Louth at 7.15 p.m.

The male who was injured in this incident was in the company of two other males at that time. He remains in a critical condition at Our lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Gardaí in Drogheda are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the incident room at Drogheda Garda Station on   041- 9874200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Investigating Gardaí are particularly anxious to speak to anyone who was present in the M1 retail park between 12.30pm and 3.30pm and may have seen the cars mentioned. Anyone who has mobile phone footage or dash cam footage and to any person who was in the Seapoint car park between 3.30pm and 7.15pm.
