Limerick Gardaí Arrest Two in Connection with Hyde Avenue Shooting; Seize €28,000 in Drugs

In a significant development in the investigation of a recent firearm discharge on Hyde Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick City, Gardaí have arrested two individuals. The arrests, carried out today, 10th June 2025, are linked to an incident that occurred on Thursday, 8th May 2025.

The individuals, one in his late teens and the other in his twenties, were detained as part of comprehensive operations conducted by the Limerick Crime Functional Area. Alongside the arrests, Gardaí uncovered suspected controlled substances with a street value exceeding €28,000 at a local domestic residence.

Both suspects have been taken to Garda Stations in County Limerick and are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007. Gardaí have emphasized the ongoing nature of the investigation as they continue to address gun-related offenses in the area.
