Two Arrested After Limerick Gun Incident: Gardaí Seize Drugs Worth €28,000

In a significant development today, Tuesday, 10th June 2025, Gardaí in Limerick have made two arrests connected to the discharge of a firearm on Hyde Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick city. The incident, which took place on Thursday, 8th May 2025, is under thorough investigation by the Limerick Crime Functional Area.

The two arrested individuals, whose ages range from their late teens to twenties, were apprehended as part of the ongoing police operations. During the course of the arrest, Gardaí conducted a search that resulted in the seizure of suspected controlled substances. The street value of these drugs is estimated to exceed €28,000, discovered at a local residence.

The suspects are being detained at Garda Stations within County Limerick under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
